Our Story

Stuart and Caroline met for the first time in calculus class during their senior year of high school at the Blake School in Minneapolis, MN. What started as friendship became romance when Stuart transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Caroline was a sophomore at Northwestern University. In classic Big Ten style, Stuart and Caroline re-kindled at a tailgate in Madison, and soon after Stuart was finding reasons to visit Chicago.

After graduation, both Caroline and Stuart made Chicago their home, where they spent five years swimming in Lake Michigan, taking long walks through Lincoln Park and gathering friends on the Ranalli’s patio. In 2025, they moved to New York City to begin new careers and a new chapter of life.

On their first night in New York before their furniture had arrived, Stuart and Caroline celebrated with pizza on their fire escape in Nolita. One year later, Stuart surprised Caroline by proposing on that same fire escape.
